Watch: Johanna and The Dusty Floor - "Fishbones"

If you haven't already done so, add Brooklyn's Johanna Cranitch to the ever expanding list of (sm)art/pop synth-esses who tap into the classic progressive vibe of Kate Bush while exuding the more contemporary feel of Bjork, Imogen Heap and Bat For Lashes' Natasha Khan. Dreamy electronics and some ethereal, multi-tracked vocals still need a solid melodic line and Cranitch -- as her "band" Johanna & The Dusty Floor -- finds a sweet one on her latest single and free download "Fishbones." And for the visual icing on the cake, Cranitch and director Jeaneen Lund found some stunning landscapes and split-screen imagery in Iceland over a two day shoot with a 4pm full moon and then 23-straight hours of sunlight. No word yet on a follow up album to last year's fine Northern Lights -- stay tuned.
