Jimmy Webb's classic "Wichita Lineman" gets an understated but effective makeover from L.A. singer/songwriter Haroula Rose and her new EP So Easy, arriving tomorrow. As we noted in our overview for her self-titled 2011 debut, "Rose's voice, a near-whisper of plaintive resignation and sensuality, has the peculiar effect of drawing you closer even though the invitation is so subtle that it's almost too easy to miss. And that would be a shame." And you have to love that reverb-rich guitar solo. Rose is currently wrapping up her second full length with producer with Andy Lemaster (Bright Eyes, Maria Taylor), Luke Top and Jim White for fall release.
