RADAR: To Be Frank

To Be Frank is the clever musical moniker of Frank Perscod, a British songwriter, musician and producer whose haunting, reberb-heavy "If You Love Her" has attracted some early buzz in London and drawn the attention and support of BBC Radio 1, producer Sam Williams (Supergrass) and noted songwriter EG White (Adele, Duffy). An admitted "studio gear" buff, Perscod created "If You Love Her" in the private confines of his own home studio, taking the gentle pulsing beat and adding a mesmerizing yet simply defined melody and vocals that seem like they're being delivered from some half-awake dream state. “It generally starts with me tinkling on a synth or a piano," says Perscod, "then the words come."
