We don't know much about Joe Janiak except that he's a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from London who is heading out on the road as opener for DC fave Benjamin Francis Leftwich. All of this would, naturally, amount to bupkis if we didn't actually hear something we liked. But once we got hold of his new four-song acoustic EP (and free download) and heard songs like "Beating Heart" and his piano-backed cover of The Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love" we knew that this was someone who deserved a place on the DC RADAR. Pay close attention to Janiak's distinctive reedy/raspy voice...
