You probably don't need to know that Greta Svabo Bech is from Sweden's Faroe Islands. Or that she sang on the electronica club hit "Raise Your Weapon," the Grammy-nominated track from Canadian producer Deadmau5. Hey, we all have a past. The important thing is that Ms. Bech is now creating her own particular brand of dark-tinted alt-pop: plugged-in mellow grooves topped with her own special spin on the singer/songwriter whathaveyou. Two interesting new tracks -- the moody synth-centric "Broken Bones" and the piano-etched chamber pop "Circles" -- redefine Ms. Bech's artful game in seriously cool Bat For Lashes kinda way. And then there's that voice. Click through for "Circles" along with videos for "Broken Bones" and "Shut Up and Sing."
