Twenty-one-year-old Gavin James is a Dublin-based singer/songwriter who has made a lot of noise (albeit with just an acoustic guitar) in an incredibly short amount of time. With just a four-song EP -- Say Hello -- under his belt, the red-headed Irish folkie recently secured the opening slot on Ingrid Michaelson's current U.K. tour, got signed to Believe Records (home of fellow neo-folk wonder and DC fave James Vincent McMorrow) and has already made plans to record his full-length debut for release in 2013. Say Hello's tracks were recorded in Leeds with producer James Kenosha (Dry The River) and feature James' rather amazing, crowd-hushing tenor along with songs that sound to us like instant, effortless folk/pop classics. Some artist work years to achieve what James has already accomplished. One listen and it's easy to hear why.
