We're expecting pretty great things this year from fine indie pop/rock-ette Hannah Georgas. On the heels of her excellent 2010 album This Is Good (which earned a pair of Juno nominations), Georgas partnered with Holy Fuck's Graham Walsh last fall to produce and collaborate on the follow up. While much of her music has a vibrant charge -- think Ingrid Michaelson or Missy Higgins fronting an edgy alt/pop band -- Georgas promises an even more spirited edge this time around. "There’s going to be elements of electronica,” she said, “but it’s not going to stray far from the vein of what I do." With the album nearing the end of mastering -- and still without a label deal -- the Vancouver songwriter is hitting the road in January as opener (and backup singer) for fellow Canadian Kathleen Edwards.
