Nope. No Ivan. No Alyosha. And Seattle duo Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbury, who took their moniker from Dostoevsky’s Brothers Karamazov, aren't even just a duo anymore. Now expanded to a foursome, Ivan and Alyosha are writing and recording the full-length followup to a pair of promising EP's, 2009's The Verse, The Chorus and the recent Fathers Be Kind, where we find the wonderfully infectious title track. As we first noted a couple of years ago, I&A peddle "gloriously hummable and inventively twisty melodies intact to stand up to the most meticulous retro comparisons. Choruses soar, guitars jangle, harmonies swoon and all is right with the world again..." The band will be opening for Aimee Mann beginning January 14.
