Guitar in hand, spinning tales and folk/soul tunes of simple, straightforward charm and intelligence, gifted 22-year-old Londoner Lianne La Havas has drawn comparisons to Corinne Bailey Rae. We're not sure if her superb song "Age" will be on her debut solo album arriving May 7 in the UK, but the track is a witty and insightful look into her take on a relationship with an older man (with the kicker line "as long as he does what he's told"). We're also big fans of her song "No Room For Doubt" featuring Willie Mason -- watch the original video along with the solo live version after the jump and check out latest single "Forget", a decidedly fleshed out and funk riffed version of a song that appeared on her Live In L.A. EP. More DC on Lianne from our original RADAR last fall.

What a great voice, great delivery. Thanks for introducing me to yet another wonderful new artist. Does anyone else hear shades of Jesca Hoop on the song "Forget"?
