Daily Track: AIVA - "Pink Moon" (Nick Drake cover)

AIVA is something of mystery but we'll tell you that she's originally from Washington, DC but is now (or was) living in London. Her name may be Ariel Van Alstyne. She may have been signed to Island at one point. That's about it. All we know. But we're pretty sure that her version of Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" is just over two minutes of bliss, a complete demolition and reconstruction that turns it from a stark Brit folk classic into a sleek, magnificent space/ pop production. Look for it as part of an EP this fall. As a bonus, if you act now, we're going to throw in a bonus track at no extra charge -- "Creation", a slice o' synth-heavy harmonied spendiferousness that comes to us via a 2009 demo (after the jump)...
