RADAR: Ren Harvieu

Twenty-year-old Manchester U.K. singer Ren Harvieu is blessed with a naturally stunning voice, classic sounding pipes that recall the likes of Dusty Springfield while having a shot of Adele-styled contemporary feel. Signed to Island in England, Harvieu is being kept pretty much under wraps, content wise, but the couple of things we've heard -- the languid, reverb-alicious cover version of Roy Orbison's "Crying" (with a couple of Glasvegas slackers hanging out) and lead single "Through the Night" -- reveal a young woman whose undeniably powerful singing is something special to behold.
