The Watson Twins - Five years after their buzzmaking debut on Jenny Lewis' Rabbit Fur Coat, Chandra and Leigh take a step back from their upbeat 2010 Talking to You, Talking to Me with a new EP of ecletic covers: Sade ("Sweetest Taboo"), Eurythmics ("Here Comes The Rain Again", The Turtles ("You Showed Me"), Bill Withers ("Ain't No Sunshine"), P.J. Harvey ("Angeline") and The Black Keys ("Tighten Up") // Release: Night Covers (April 12, Digital) // Sounds like: a mix of styles, from the acoustic Americana harmonizing of their early albums to the more soulful take of their last album // What we like: My Morning Jacket's Bo Koster adding some cool keyboard to "Ain't No Sunshine"... the sinfully rich, reverbed production of "You Showed Me", the 1969 Turtles hit penned by Jim McGuinn and Gene Clark of the Byrds...
