Daily Video: Kate Walsh - "The Real Thing"

British neo-folkie (and DC favorite) Kate Walsh will release her new project The Real Thing one track at a time -- on the 21st of each month -- until the full album release date November 21 in the U.K. As the successor to Walsh's recent album of 80's covers Peppermint Radio, The Real Thing will feature an even more stripped down approach than normal. Says Walsh, "My wish is to record an album in the simplest and truest form possible and so all songs for the new album will be recorded live, yes, live in the old fashioned sense of the word – no overdubs, no backing vocals…just simple and honest performances which are straight from my heart." We can't think of anything quite as achingly pure and lovely as the sound of Walsh's voice -- and "The Real Thing", spare and stark, shows exactly why.
