Daily Track: Tom Baxter - "Golden"

After releasing, promoting and touring behind his acclaimed 2008 album Skybound, British singer/songwriter Tom Baxter took off for India for a breather, declaring in hindsight, "I needed to recharge - physically and emotionally". Baxter purposely left his guitar alone in the early stages of his trip though he eventually found it to be "my closest ally again" and he began to write new songs between motorbike treks through the Himalayas. "Golden" is the title track of his forthcoming 2011 album (U.K. date TBA), a nuanced, meditative ballad that sounds like it was composed in solitude and reflection.
