Daily Track: Bess Rogers - "What We Want"

Lifted from Brooklyn singer/songwriter Bess Rogers' recent eponymous debut EP, "What We Want" has just the right amount of medium-wattage energy for a Friday afternoon...and a lovely melody to boot. Like DC fave Allie Moss, Rogers spends some of her time as a member of Ingrid Michaelson's touring band, a relationship that obviously has rubbed off a bit stylistically on the production of Rogers' own songs. She's heading off to a cabin in Maine to lay down some new tracks she wrote in January -- stay tuned for more later this year.
