Bob Schneider - Eleventh album in a dozen years and follow up to '09's fine Lovely Creatures from Austin genre-hopping staple known for his wild and wooly live shows and finely crafted songwriting, ballads to butt-shakin' romps... // Release: A Perfect Day (April 19, Kirtlan) // Quote: “Everyone hears all these different styles of music. It makes sense to use as many styles as you can to keep the music interesting." // Sounds like: lots of love on Bob's mind this time around from bad ("Another Bad Idea") to worse (“Everything You Love” with the line “God will destroy/Everything you love/If you live long enough”) // What we like: the "perfect day" feel of slyly funky first single "Let the Light In"...Schneider's penchant for sharp, witty lyrics married to big melodies...
