After taking a break to work on the debut from Fleetwood Mac-ish L.A. songwriting outfit The Rescues, Kyler England returned last month with her first solo album in three years with Electric Hum. Produced by Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers), Hum is a sleek and glossy, electro-beat-driven vehicle for her hook-laden melodies such as "Alchemy." Unlike her earlier guitar-focused folk/pop albums, England wrote nearly all her new songs on piano, a strategy that helped make the move to the more Imogen-Heap-styled plugged-in alt/pop a seamless transition. Like sugar dissolving on the tongue, "Alchemy"'s charms are more sweet than substantive but there's no denying the fleeting pop pleasure.

Kyler England is such an amazing singer songwriter. This album is so cool. Electric Hum. Kyler is so good to her fans and actually allowed her fans to oparticipate in making this album through their Pledges on Pledgemusic .com. Very savy and so very caring about her fans.
Kyler England has the voice of an angel and is truly one of the best singer songwriters on the planet.
