Kindlewood is the D.C.-based husband/wife team of Kelsi and Galen Smith along with friend and musician Jamison Lyman. Together they create a tapestry of dazzlingly intricate folk/pop with layers of finger-picked guitar lines and Kelsi's warmly incandescent vocals at center stage. Taken from the trio's debut album Desiderium, self-released this past spring, "Where Tales Are Told" is reminiscent of The Innocence Mission, delivering lush, perfectly formed melodies, a blurred tapestry of chiming acoustic notes and Kelli's achingly tender and understated singing.
