Daily Track: The Rescues - "Break Me Out"

We actually remember a time when a song like The Rescues' "Break Me Out" might actually be a contender for pop radio (ie. Top 40 -- sigh), an uptempo, roll down the windows anthem with just enough rock kick to push your toe a little more firmly on the accelerator. With everything "pop" pretty much falling into the "autotune/faux R+B/dance/pop/school-yard-chant ditty" category, The Rescues and their modern updating of the harmony-rich SoCal Fleetwood Mac School of Melodic Composition are a welcome blast of fresh air. From their July 6 Universal Republic album Let Loose The Horses (available digitally now). More here.
