Shorts: Punch Brothers, Black Keys, Runaways Movie, Trash Can Sinatras, Doves 'Best', Stone's 'Exile', Grace Potter

Americana/neo-bluegrass masters Punch Brothers, led by Nickel Creek's Chris Thile, return this spring with Antifogmatic a new studio album on Nonesuch (specific release date TBA). Formed in 2006, the band released their debut album Punch in 2008 and is on tour now. Check out two recent live-in-the-studio performances on video: "Rye Whiskey", from the new album, here and a cover of The Strokes' "Reptilia" here.

The Black Keys' new album Brothers is on the release schedule for a May 18 street. This is the duo's first album since 2008's Attack and Release and their rap/rock collaboration Blakroc last fall.

There's something of a perverse fascination that piques our interest in the new bio-pic The Runaways, based on the punky mid-70's female rockers from L.A. New flick stars Kristen Stewart as bandmembers Joan Jett, Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie (pic >) and Scout Taylor-Compton as Lita Ford. Soundtrack arrives March 16. Trailer here.

In The Music, the latest '09 disc from The Trash Can Sinatras, is finally getting an official U.S release. Look for an expanded version, including eight live bonus tracks, when Music hits these shores April 27. Original DC take here.

The Rolling Stones' new Deluxe and Super Deluxe versions of their classic 1972 album Exile on Main Street are, yes, actually coming. Street date for both is May 18.

The Who may be done for good (!) after they perform a complete live version of Quadrophenia at the end of March for a British charity. "If my hearing is going to be a problem, we’re not delaying shows. We’re finished," Pete Townshend tell Rolling Stone.

Longawaited new album  from Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (<) -- now said to be self-titled -- has an "official" street of June 8. More DC here.

Forthcoming April 6 2-CD Best of collection from Doves will include three new songs: "Blue Water", "Drifter" featuring Cherry Ghost’s Simon Aldred) and "Andalucía". New anthology follows up the U.K. band's excellent 2009 album Kingdom of Rust.

Melissa Etheridge's Fearless Love arrives April 27. We teased you with the title track here. Peter Frampton's Thank You Mr. Churchill also hits 4/27. Gin Blossoms are back with No Chocolate Cake June 1. And as we hinted last week, The Troubador Reunion concert from James Taylor and Carole King will also be arriving on DVD: look for it September 28. Rick Rubin is at the production helm for the highly-anticipated second album from Grammy-winning U.K. thrush Adele. We can't wait.

Lastly -- we all know that the CD is said to be on life support, but we were heartened to see that Sade's new Soldier of Love album debuted last week with an impressive 500,000 units sold in the U.S alone. Grownups, it would appear, still like to buy the physical format. Imagine that.

    Hi

Do you have any official corroboration for this album name and release date for The Black Keys new album?

It sounds kind of suss. I'm presuming you wouldn't have published without it being sure of these facts?
