Daily Video: Emma-Lee - 'Just Looking'

Toronto's Emma-Lee takes a step back from the jazzy, cabaret-friendly art/pop of her '09 debut album Never Just A Dream for the simple, acoustic folk ballad "Just Looking". The appeal of the track is undeniable -- Emma-Lee's voice is a marvel of smoky texture while still maintaining exquisite clarity, the perfect unaffected juxtaposition to the stripped guitar backing. We also like the DIY approach at work here: an audio demo was cut and the "home video" was shot by friend Paul Steward in her home and surrounding neighborhood in an afternoon. More, please.
