In what looks like a good case of role reversal, Ryan Adams has been producing a new album from his own producer -- Ethan Johns -- at his PAX studios in Los Angeles. Johns, best known for his studio work with the likes of Adams, Kings of Leon and Laura Marling, will follow up his 2012 album If Not Now, Then When? with the new album due in 2014. He'll be debuting a few new songs live during a ten-date U.K. tour beginning tonight. The multi-instrumentalist will be making an appearance on the forthcoming new fall album from Adams though his father, famed producer Glyn Johns, is handling the knob-twiddling in the studio.
