Stephen Stills and Kenny Wayne Shepherd will release their collaborative blues/rock album Can't Get Enough on May 28 July 28 via 429 Records. In what's being billed as an homage to the original 1968 Super Session album featuring Stills, Al Kooper and guitarist Mike Bloomfield, the new project will also feature contributions from Barry Goldberg, the legendary keyboardist who played on the original Super Session album. Can't Get Enough was recorded last November. “I have just completed recording a new album with friends Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg," Shepherd alerted fans last fall. "This album will feature several news songs written by Stephen, Barry and myself.”
In related news, the Stephen Stills 4-CD box set retrospective spanning the iconic rocker's fifty year career -- Carry On -- will be released March 26. A new Kenny Wayne Shepherd album of classic blues covers recently recorded with his band has also been completed with a street date to be announced.
UPDATE: Can't Get Enough has been pushed back to a July 28 street date -- no reason given.
