After a few days of speculation in the press, Columbia Records has confirmed the November 25 release of Bruce Springsteen's new single "High Hopes." The track is a cover of a song by the L.A.-based band The Havalinas and was originally recorded by Springsteen and The E Street Band in the 1996 documentary Blood Brothers. Stream that version below.
The song was recorded in Australia in a studio session during Springsteen's tour featuring Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and his acoustic musical persona The Nightwatchman.
There's also word of a new Springsteen album for January though nothing is confirmed at this time.
