San Francisco's Two Gallants will release their fourth studio album The Bloom and the Blight on September 4 on ATO Records. The album is their first since 2007’s self-titled release and comes after a three-year hiatus. Fans can get an early sneak peek at the new album via the new track “Broken Eyes” below.
It had been three years since Two Gallants played together, and when they rejoined, The Bloom and the Blight materialized quickly. Produced by John Congleton (The Walkmen, Explosions In The Sky, St. Vincent), The Bloom and the Blight moves away from Two Gallants’ more folk and blues-based past, representing the duo’s ferocious live show and their past steeped in punk and grunge.
Two Gallants will play a handful of festival dates in the US and abroad this summer. They most recently wrapped up a few weeks of dates with Mariachi El Bronx and Gogol Bordello in May and early June, and next will perform at the Outside Lands Music and Arts festival in their hometown on August 10. Two Gallants are also confirmed for Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road Stopover in Monterey, CA on August 25 and the FYF Fest in Los Angeles, CA on September 1.
