Boston based singer/songwriter Marissa Nadler follows up her 2011 self-titled album this May with a new eight-song mini-album The Sister, a collection of songs that are, she says, subtly related to her prior album. "I realized I had muses all around me," Nadler observes, "childhood, betrayal, friendships, new love, nature, or hope. The narrator's stronger in my songs now." Lead track "The Wrecking Ball Company" continues Nadler's penchant for what we've described as "hazy, impossibly sad dream-folk."
