Led by frontman and founder Michael Fitzpatrick, L.A.'s popular pop/soul outfit Fitz and The Tantrums have signed with Atlantic Records and will be releasing their second album More Than Just A Dream on May 13. The new album, originally set to drop independently this past fall, is the successor to the band's well-received 2010 debut Pickin' Up the Pieces, a project marked by sleek, nostalgic R+B, Motown and 60's-era pop and hailed by a variety of critics including The Boston Phoenix: "Fitz and dynamic co-vocalist Noelle Scaggs inject life and fun into the Tantrums' retro temptations".
