Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will release two projects on May 31 : a solo album featuring Vedder and his trusty ukulele -- Ukulele Songs -- and a live DVD Water On the Road. Both will be released via the band's own Monkeywrench Records
The Ukulele Songs album features sixteen tracks -- thirteen originals, three covers -- and includes guest vocals from Cat Power and Glen Hansard of The Swell Season. Lead single "Longing to Belong" is now available digitally -- stream the track below.
Also arriving on May 31st is Water on the Road, a concert DVD of performances from Vedder’s August 16th and 17th 2008 solo tour engagements at Washington, D.C.'s Warner Theatre. The DVD includes a performance of "You're True" from Ukulele Songs along with songs from the Pearl Jam catalog, covers and tracks from Vedder’s solo album Into The Wild.
Meanwhile, Pearl Jam will reconvene in next month to begin work on a new studio album.

Great clip you posted above, DC! I'm very excited about Eddie's new release. His voice is still so...longingly sanguine after all of these years.
