Progressive U.K. pop/electronica duo Lamb -- Andy Barlow and Lou Rhodes -- are busy working on a new album 5 due, appropriately, May 5th and the duo's first album of new studio material since 2003's Between Darkndess and Wonder. According to Rhodes, the two had a conversation earlier this year "and when (Barlow) said to me: 'Lou, give me one good reason why we shouldn’t make another Lamb album' I really couldn’t think of one."
She adds, "So after all this time we’re back in the studio and there’s something fresh and new about the music we’re writing. It hasn’t been this way since we wrote the eponymous first album when we felt utterly unconcerned with what anyone felt about what we were doing. It was about the music and the journey it took us on. We always said we wouldn’t make another Lamb album until we had something new to say. That time has definitely come."
Rhodes released her third solo album of mostly acoustic songs, One Good Thing, earlier this year and the duo reteamed in 2009 for a string of live dates.
