Duncan Sheik - Covers 80

Duncan Sheik -- singer/songwriter and co-creator of the Tony-winning Broadway rock musical Spring Awakening expands his fall '10 EP of classic U.K. 80's songs to a 12-track full-length // Release: Covers 80 (June 7) // Sounds like: tracks that were heavy on the Brit synth-pop tradition get a more organic feel...even Depeche Mode's "Stripped" gets a banjo twang // What we like: the classic Tears For Fears song "Shout" is an interesting interpretation with some vocal support by Rachael Yamagata...and how can we not love a Blue Nile song? "Stay" could be the one to seal the deal...and weren't we just posting a version of The Thompson Twins' "Hold Me Now?" Hmmm...(Track list after the jump)
