David Bowie - Station to Station (Deluxe Edition)

As David Bowie remains on extended hiatus from recording and touring, his classic 1976 album Station To Station is being prepped for both expanded Special and Deluxe Editions due September 28. Recorded as the final chapter of his "alter-ego" character The Thin White Duke, Station To Station is thought of as one of Bowie's career-defining albums boasting both the funky R+B of his Young Americans period and the Eno-styled electronics of his works to come in the late 70's such as Low and Heroes. The six-song album boasted the Top 10 U.S. hit "Golden Years" as well as "TVC 15" and "Wild Is the Wind".

The Special Edition of Station will include a 2010 transfer from the original analog stereo master, two remastered live discs of Bowie's oft-bootlegged March 23rd, 1976 concert at New York's Nassau Coliseum and a digital download of a previously unreleased 13-minute version of "Panic In Detroit" from his Aladdin Sane album. The 12" boxed Deluxe version will include also add a disc of five single-length edits, a DVD featuring four distinct mixes of Station to Station, vinyl versions of S2S and the Live at Nassau discs, a 24-page booklet (w/ notes by Cameron Crowe) and a variety of fan collectibles including photos and replicated press kits and fan club memorabilia. More at Bowie's site.
