Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - London Calling: Live in Hyde Park
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 1:04PM
Given Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's legendary live concert performance -- something that has to be called, in fairness to the man's enormous showmanship, an "experience" -- we're always welcoming of another volume in The Boss' expansive live DVD library. The latest addition: the June 22 release of London Calling: Live In Hyde Park, a predictably massive 163-minute, 26-song collection filmed on June 28, 2009, starting in mid-afternoon and ending as the sun sets on the band and the cozy 50,000+ fans there to bear witness. Filmed in high definition, London Calling will also be available as a Blu-Ray disc.

In addition to the concert staples ("The Rising", "Born to Run", "Jungleland", "No Surrender" featuring guest Brian Fallon of Gaslight Anthem), Springsteen also lays into a handful of rare covers including The Clash's "London Calling" (video after the jump), Jimmy Cliff's "Trapped," The Young Rascals' "Good Lovin'," 1854 Stephen Foster gem "Hard Times (Come Again No More)" and classic show closer Eddie Floyd's "Raise Your Hand." Two bonus performance are also on hand: "The River" recorded at the June 27 Glastonbury performance and the "Wrecking Ball" music video from New Jersey's Giants Stadium. A full DVD track listing after the jump...
