Jackson Browne w/ David Lindley - Love Is Strange (Live)

Veteran SoCal songwriter Jackson Browne and multi-instrumentalist David Lindley have been working together, off and on, for over 35 years, giving new meaning to the term sympatico on classic Browne albums such as For Everyman and Running On Empty and years of sharing a stage. The duo will pair up again this year with Browne's band for a series of concerts in Europe (June) and the U.S. (July/August) and to mark the occasion, fans new and old are offered Love Is Strange (May 11), a 2-CD collection of live, mostly acoustic tracks recorded in Spain during a 2006 tour.

During the concert, Browne and Lindley are joined by a handful of noted Spanish players and percussionists adding some interesting twists to the well known Browne repertoire ("Take It Easy", "Late for the Sky") along with a version of the Mickey and Sylvia song that gives the album its name. Browne writes in the liner notes, "[It was] a flash in time that went by so effortlessly, and with such pleasure, that I must ask myself if it really happened. But here it is -- a CD of some recorded moments, or perhaps a bridge, or a small door, between a life lived mostly in America and time spent with some really good friends in Spain." Full track list and video after the jump.

Thanks for sharing the video clip from the Philly concert - great performance and song! To clarify, the song is "Late for the Sky", not "For Everyman". :-)
